The virtual conference was organized by the Institute of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology and the Ludwig Franzius Institute of Hydraulic, Estuarine and Coastal Engineering in cooperation with the AMK and EUCC-D - The Coastal Union Germany.
Almost 50 participants could attend 14 scientific lectures in three thematic specialist sessions and view four posters from science and practice and were able to participate in a virtual excursion and a film screening and informally network at the online platform Gather Town. The thematic focus of the conference was on participatory research approaches, coastal protection and ways to reduce marine pollution.
