The Kick-off Meeting of the new EU Horizon project SELINA, coordinated by PhyGeo, took place in the Leibnizhaus of LUH from 14 - 17 September 2022.
The meeting was attended by 100 delegates from the 31 SELINA partner countries (including all EU member states, including overseas territories, Norway, Switzerland, Israel and the UK). The SELINA Consortium brings together leading experts in research on biodiversity, ecosystems and their services, as well as policy-makers and business leaders, to work together towards evidence-based sustainable decision-making. The European Commission is funding the 5-year project with a total of 13 million Euros. The Kick-off Meeting was concluded with an excursion to the Harz Mountains.
