As part of the Bachelor's study project "The Lippe Hills: Landscape Ecological Characterisation of an Agricultural Landscape", soil investigations and UAV-supported field surveys were carried out on the land of a local farm in Eversen, as in previous years.
The data collected, together with the laboratory results of the soil samples taken, are used to determine important soil properties. The focus is on calculating the erodibility of the topsoil, which is highly relevant for the sustainable use of the land recently converted to organic farming. In addition, further data on current land use and relevant ecosystem services of the landscape were collected. A total of 16 students from our Bachelor's degree programmes participated, as well as Bastian Steinhoff-Knopp, Sabine Lange, Alexander Störmer and Benjamin Burkhard as lecturers in the five days field work.
