We welcome Rupert Legg as our new visiting researcher at our Institute of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology.
Rupert will be part of the Working Group Digital Landscape Ecology for the next three months until July. He is one of the recipients of last year’s Green Talents Award for young researchers in sustainable development funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). He is joining us from the Institute for Sustainable Futures, University of Technology Sydney, in Australia, where he has just submitted his PhD thesis. In his thesis, he explored the mental health and wellbeing effects of living with environmental contamination. Here in Hannover, he will be working with Professor Kabisch to conduct a review of literature examining whether green spaces containing plant species that produce harmful pollen and allergens may alter or mediate users’ experiences and perceptions of these spaces. If you would like to contact Rupert, please send him an email at Rupert.Legg@uts.edu.au.
