Our annual team day took place on 8 August 2024 under the motto ‘Hanover from a different perspective’. The programme, which was traditionally organised and hosted by the new members of the Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology department, first took us on a canoe trip on the Ihme and Leine rivers. Four teams took on the challenges of the (not always so calm) current and at the same time competed in the quiz competition for the best Hanover general knowledge. The route took us downstream past the stadium, Ihmepark and Faustgelände, before we took a break for refreshments at Strandleben and then plunged into the quiet - and from the water very green - Calenberger Neustadt and made our way back via the Hohe Ufer. Back at Schneiderberg, the day ended with an extensive barbecue party, together with our energetic volunteers, and the crowning of the winning team.
