Bastian Steinhoff-Knopp, Simone Ott, Jens-André Paffenholz (TU Claustahl) and Benjamin Burkhard present their work on the development of methods to quantify soil loss due to water erosion on arable land. They show how interdisciplinary cooperation between the fields of Geodesy and Geography can contribute to the protection of soils and how new tools for monitoring programmes to observe erosion can be developed.
